How to Purchase Images

HOW TO PURCHASE AN IMAGE

All photographs on this site are available for purchase. The photos are uploaded to the web site for viewing at a low resolution. Purchased images are high resolution, a larger size, and do not have a watermark on them. The copyright remains with the photographer and you will be licensed to use the image.

Our shopping cart is set up to accept credit cards and payments from PayPal accounts.

You may also contact us to set up a business account or to make other payment arrangements.

Purchases made on this site through our shopping cart are paid through PayPal. The transaction is secure and we do not have access to your payment information. You do not need a PayPal account to pay by credit card.

If you decide to purchase rights to an image, we will move it to a private gallery and connect it to our shopping cart.

If the image you want to buy is in a private gallery, sign in using your user name and password so you can access the gallery, then click on the shopping cart symbol underneath the picture to see the cost to download the image.

You have the choice of downloading the picture from our download dock or having the picture emailed to you. (If you prefer, the picture can be burned to a CD and mailed to you for an additional charge. Please contact us for this option.)

Note: On my pc, I have found it easier to download images if I use internet explorer as my browser instead of firefox.

Click "Add to Shopping Cart" and then click "Continue Shopping" or "Proceed to Checkout."

Pictures can be removed from the shopping cart by clicking the "Remove from Shopping Cart" button and then clicking "Update Shopping Cart."

After making your payment on PayPal, you will immediately be able to download your image. When the payment is completed, PayPal will offer you the option to return to our website. You need to return to our website from PayPal to see your Image Key Number if you want to download the image immediately. The Image Key Number will also be sent to you later by email. The image will be available on our download dock for 30 days.

When you return to our website, you will see your Image Key Number. For your convenience, you can use your computer to copy the number and then to paste the number on the download dock page (found under the "Menu" button at the top of your screen). Then click "Submit." After a moment, the download process will begin, allowing you to save the file to your computer.

(Note: It's a good idea to also write the number down because you won't be able to return to that page once you leave. This is only of concern if you want to download the image immediately, because the image key number will also be sent to you later in an email.)

The downloaded image is a compressed (zipped) file, and will need to be unzipped.

To unzip the file if you are using a PC, right click on the zipped folder and click "extract all" to open the Windows Compressed (Zipped) Folders Extraction Wizard. The Extraction Wizard helps you copy files from inside a zip archive. It's very easy, you just click "next" a couple of times and then "finish."

If the image is in one of our public galleries, the cost depends on what you will use the image for. Also a factor is whether you want to use the image many times or just once.

(Examples of different ways the pictures might be used: Editorial, Marketing, Advertising, Promotional Materials, Resale or Personal Use, including magazines, books, visitors guides, newsletters, brochures, print ads, flyers, mailers, handouts, packaging and art prints.)

To get a price quote to use an image, click on the price quote button found underneath each thumbnail image in our galleries, or click on the picture to view the image in a separate window. Then click on the "get a price quote" button at the top of the screen and type in your email address and a comment about how you plan to use the image. We check messages frequently, and will respond promptly with a quote.
